Mommy & Me Shoes

To say that Sienna and I have a pair of matching shoes is definitely an understatement. We actually have three pairs and are on our way to number four!

YES…I am that mom.

And I love every minute of it!

The hard part about having matching shoes with your toddler is that their feet grow so fast! She is already on her second pair of gold Saltwater Sandals and her leopard flats are about to be one size too small. Mommy is in need of some new ones so maybe we will switch it up to a loafer style next!

Can you believe that she actually received her little purple Hunter boots before me? So I made sure Santa brought me mine a few weeks later ;) These will also have to be replaced when she outgrows them because let's be honest, who doesn't love splashing in muddy puddles?

And now I've started my Yosi Samra obsession! They are the cutest and comfiest ballet flats I've ever had. And guess what?? Yep, you guessed it: they have a fabulous little girl selection!

Love my little mini-me :)

Mommy & Me Time

1/2/3

Giving birth to Daniel was one of the most bittersweet times in my life. It was and is truly a blessing to have such an amazing little boy brought into my life, but the beginning of life with les deux was a difficult time because I was forced to give up the alone time spent with my little Sienna. I chose to nurse Daniel as I had done with Sienna which was wonderful, but the downside to that was that I had to be the one to give Daniel most of his primary care. Danny definitely took control and helped with Sienna and now their father-daughter bond is stronger than ever and needless to say, Daniel is attached to my hip :)
This past week Sienna and I were fortunate to have not one, but two mommy and me dates. This was the first time since Daniel was born where we actually were able to go and do something fun, just the two of us. Of course we occasionally will get to run an errand together or we have our weekly baby ballerina class, but this was quality time spent together.
First Thursday morning, we went to see the new Madagascar Live show at Busch Gardens which was a great time! Then on Sunday I took her to see our first Disney on Ice show which was absolutely magical. I am so grateful to have my two beautiful babies, but this past week made me realize how important it is to spend some quality one on one time with each child.
Love you baby girl!

Summer of Rompers

I think it's safe to say Sienna will be spending most of her time this summer in rompers! I love them, she feels like a princess in them...everyone's happy :) Every girl needs a Chambray romper in their wardrobe...This cute little Nautica romper was given to her for Daniel's birthday :) Yes, she got a lot of gifts on top of all his gifts that she considers hers as well.
^^^This Cherokee romper was picked out for Daniel's mustache bash.^^^
Here are a couple of cute ones I've seen in the stores:

And what better to pair all these rompers with than a pair of gold Saltwater Sandals...
We just bought Sienna new ones because she outgrew her first pair! Mommy also has a matching pair in gold :)
Mommy also just added these two rompers to her wardrobe:

Will you be taking part in the romper revolution this summer??

My Baby Ballerina

Sienna has always been my tiny dancer and I knew that we would have to enroll her in some sort of dance class when she was ready. Fortunately, we found a ballet class in our area for her age group! She started when she was twenty months and has loved every minute of it since!

The class allows me to get some much needed alone time in with her since those opportunities are very far and few between these days! When Daniel was smaller I would bring him in the carrier, but now he's a little big and more active. At first the class was sort of a big cluster full of two year olds laying across the floor and moms twirling around trying to get their daughters to follow, but now the girls all seem to do well with all of the dances. They even have a recital at the end of the year! I know...it is probably a stretch for a two year old to be in a recital, but the way I see it is if she never wants to dance again, then at least I will have some cute photos to show her prom date when she's older ;)
