Best Week Ever!!!

This week has been soo amazing in soo many ways!! Let me start out by saying that Monday was my birthday and I turned the big 2-8!! This year was actually a freebie for me because I kept thinking all year that I was twenty-eight when I clearly wasn't...ha! (mom brain) But anywho, those who know me know that my birthday is usually a week long celebration and this year was none the less!

We started it off celebrating my birthday at an intimate dinner with good friends at the new Cooper's Hawk Winery. There's nothing better than great friends, great food, and great wine all jam packed into one night :)

Then on Wednesday morning we had an amazing opportunity to be featured on Fox 13's Good Day Tampa Bay to do a Mother's Day gift segment! Since I am a Tampa native it was truly an honor to be part of such a respected morning show! And what a great time we had doing the segment!

(Best if you watch from a computer and not a mobile device)

As if the day couldn't have gotten any better, Danny topped it as he accepted a job offer with a wonderful new company!! Needless to say, Wednesday was a day full of celebration.

Now if we can rewind a little bit I have been dancing in my head (and in real life) all week because I will be attending my first blog conference next week and it's called ALT SUMMIT!!!! (in Oprah's screaming voice) haha!

source

Well, I won't actually be going to an Alt Summit blog conference, but they have created their first completely-online conference called Alt For Everyone <----yes that includes me!! This is absolutely perfect because I'm not in any shape to leave the kiddos behind just yet so virtual sounds fantastic! And to top it off one of my fav blogger Joy Cho will be the keynote speaker so I can only imagine how informative this experience will be!!

And now we are finishing off this fabulous week celebrating why we do what we do everyday! For our babies of course! I love my babies and am incredibly blessed to live the life I live with them.

Happy Mother's Day!!

Beachin' it on Easter!

\
I am so glad the beach weather is here! One thing us Floridians take advantage of is having the beach in our backyard so we were fortunate enough to head out to Fort De Soto Park on Easter Sunday. This was little Daniel's first time at the beach!

Of course he was scared of the sand...

But I know these kids are going to be beach bums if they are anything like their parents.
I LOVE the beach and can't wait for all of our vacations to come!

Daniel turns ONE this week! We had a big mustache bash to celebrate this past weekend, but we are going to be continuing these festivities at the beach. This year has FLOWN by, but I guess time flies when you're having fun :) and busy with two babies...
Here are some more shots Easter Sunday...

Egg Hunting We Will Go!

Can we talk about mom brain for a second here? So Saturday morning Sienna and I were putting out some of our Easter decorations and enjoying our morning without plans (clearly still in pjs) when all of a sudden it hit me like a ton of bricks: EASTER EGG HUNT! The annual Easter Egg Hunt at the local YMCA was either going on at that moment or it was next Saturday... I hurried and dialed the number to the YMCA and sure enough it was going on at that moment! Total MOM BRAIN!! How could I forget the fun Easter Egg Hunt that not only Sienna, but Daniel could participate in this year?? Well luck was on our side Saturday morning because in 45 minutes there was going to be another Egg hunt for their age group! We scurried to get ready and made it with time to spare....phew! You see, I'm a big kid at heart and want to make sure I can do as many fun things with my kids as humanly possible...it's only normal right?

Since the egg hunt was so last minute it was just me with the two of them since Danny works every Saturday, but it turned out great! They were only allowed four eggs per child which was a good rule, but we were finished about five feet in!

They were both scared to take pictures with the Easter bunny so we stuck with some arts and crafts after...I'm so glad we made it and that I remembered! I know I would have been kicking myself had we missed it!

Has anyone else had any eggciting Easter fun yet?

You Had Me At Helen...

Last year I received a gift for Mother's Day/birthday from Danny. He ordered a Helen Ficalora necklace straight from her shop in lower Manhattan. The necklace has two handmade charms with each of my baby's initials engraved in it. Aside from my children, it's one of my favorite gifts EVER!

This necklace is so special to me since it allows me to have Sienna and Daniel even closer to me at all times. It wasn't a surprise because I knew I wanted a necklace with their initials and I wanted to make sure it was made out of excellent quality for daily wear. The researcher in me finally decided on Helen and boy am I glad I did! I can honestly say I think I have taken it off maybe a handful of times and it still looks as beautiful as ever (this was a quick iPhone shot so the quality could be better).

I used to work in the jewelry industry that specialized in charms so there is a special place in my heart for meaningful pieces. She only has a few shops around the country and I am hoping we will travel to one of those locations soon ;)

I am such a fan...

Eggstatic for Easter!

source

Today I was walking through the local craft store and it hit me that Easter is only a couple of weeks away. I can't believe how fast time is going by! Since I have been super busy lately, I thought it would be a good idea to start looking for ideas to decorate Easter eggs. And the best part is Sienna will actually be able to take part in the festivities this year...and Daniel will probably still try to eat the eggs... This is where you will begin to see the big kid in me coming out to play because now I have a partner in crime ;)

When I was little we didn't have things like Pinterest and we didn't do anything uber creative...just the single color egg dunk with the little wired handle. Well now with the Internet and Pinterest there are just hundreds of fun options! So I gathered up a couple of my favorites that would be suitable for a two year old to help out with...

They are all so cute I'm not sure which one I will choose! So make sure to come back and see...
Do you have any eggciting Easter egg decorating ideas to do with the kiddos??

Happy National Peanut Butter Lover's Day!!!

Happy National Peanut Butter Lover's Day!! In light of this holiday we played with our food...We made a peanut butter farm with animal crackers!

Sienna loved it! I then realized it turned into a lickfest...

It's always fun to play with our food! Next year Daniel will be allowed to have peanut butter and he can participate in the fun!

Did you make any fun peanut butter treats for National Peanut Butter Lover's Day?

I Mustache You A Question...Will You Be my Valentine?

source
I love February :) There is so much love to go around this month and I need to get going with my Valentine's Day baking, crafts/valentines, and gift for the hubby and kids! I went ahead and started to browse through some cute outfits for the kiddos so i thought I would create some style boards. There are insane amounts of cute clothes out there for babies and toddlers that it can actually be a little dangerous. The good thing is, most of them can be worn year round whereas with the other holidays the cute outfits expire once the holiday is over...well at least in public :) How cute is this milk mustache shirt above?? It's from a cute shop, birthday couture, on Etsy! I will definitely be ordering something from there soon...
Here are some of the cute finds for baby boys...I am just loving all the mustache/Valentine's combos:
skull shoes // dr.love tee //i heart pjs // heart mustache pjs //heart throb tee
And these were some of my favorite pieces for the little girls! Sienna actually has the heart tee from H&M:
heart jeans // headband // tulle skirt // wristlet // heart tee

Now I need to go dream up my mommy must-haves for Valentine's Day ;)
